Music is a sign and symbol that impacts all who are gathered to participate in the Sacred Liturgy of the Mass.

The primary role of the cantor is to proclaim Sacred Scripture in the Psalm.

The cantor also leads the hymns and acclamations.

At St. Stephen, the cantor also welcomes the assembly and reads the announcements before Mass.

If you have a good singing voice, and are comfortable speaking from a written text,                       please consider being a cantor.
