Happy Easter to you all! I hope and pray that your Easter was a beautiful chance to pray and spend time with family and friends. Jesus’ Resurrection from the dead truly changes everything and has the power to enliven our hearts and set us on fire for advancing his mission in the world. One important way (but not the only way) this is accomplished is through your financial generosity to our parish. When Fr. Liska and his pastoral council made the move to Oak Creek and built the wonderful campus we enjoy today, it was not with the intention that everything would remain the same forever. The church and its grounds were designed to be added to and enhanced over the years as more resources became available through parishioner generosity. This was on full display with the decision to invest in a bell tower structure to enable the three bells from the old church to ring out once more. I am happy to report that as of this month, thanks to your abundant generosity, we paid off the bell tower contract and closed that account! A sizable investment of capital, we hope and pray it continues to enhance the beauty of our campus and tell our neighbors that they are welcome here!
Another area of enhancement we are looking forward to will occur through your generosity to the Love One Another campaign initiated by the Archdiocese back in 2023. As you recall, this 5-year campaign had the parish goals of repairing the parking lot and boosting the beauty of the church through the creation and installation of stained glass windows. We are well on our way toward a concept design for the principal window above the sanctuary, and hope to have something to show you by the feast of Pentecost (June 8)! On a financial level, your contributions to the Love One Another campaign are apace with the goal, and we should reach our goal if the projected pledges are fulfilled. If you didn’t decide to participate in the Love One Another campaign but want to support the stained glass window or parking lot project, you are most welcome to contribute toward the Legacy Fund of the parish which will supplement these projects. We are excited to have our worship elevated by a stained glass window in the sanctuary, and our campus made safer and more navigable with a smooth and sturdy parking lot. You will undoubtedly see other projects come about in future years as our community expands (God-willing) and our discipleship is strengthened. Thank you for continuing to support our parish with your financial gifts! If you’ve never done so before, please consider what gift the Lord is inviting you to make. God is never outdone in generosity; may he bless you abundantly for your goodness to this parish!
Easter blessings to you all and the assurance of my prayers!
