Saint Stephen's Health Ministry Committee
The Health Ministry Committee plans and implements health-related activities in the parish. The committee generates ideas, helps with surveys, promotes programs and health services, and is a resource for parishioners. The committee is concerned about the sick and suffering as is Jesus, the great healer.
“Great crowds came to Jesus, bringing with them he lame, the maimed, the blind, the mute, and many others. They put them at his feet, and he cured them,..” Matt. 15:30
Handicaped Assistance Equipment Exchange: The
Health Ministry Committee offers the service of making handicapped assistance
equipment available to those in need. The committee accepts donations of various
kinds of equipment and in turn makes it available, free of charge, to anyone who
would have need of it. If you are in need of some equipment or know someone who
is in need, please check us out. You may use the equipment for a long time or
just for a short while, maybe even when a relative comes visiting. The equipment
includes: walkers, crutches, shower stools, tub chairs, wheel chairs, etc. It is
new or slightly used, all in good condition. For more information please do not
hesitate to call the parish office or Sr. Therese 483-2685.
Pop Corn Sale: On Father’s Day weeked the Health Ministry committee
sponsors a pop corn sale to honor our Fathers. The proceeds go to the Wisconsin
Right to Life Society.
Health Related Lectures: Twice a year the committee sponsors lectures on
timely health related topics.
