Altar Servers

Altar servers play an important role in the celebration of the Holy Mass.  They are a valuable asset to the priest and the parish community.  They approach their service with reverence, humility and care.  St. Stephen is grateful for their service alongside the priest and deacon at our parish's Eucharistic Liturgy.  Altar servers wear a special alb and cincture when doing their ministry.  They are given responsibilities for lighting the candles, holding the Roman Missal, washing the priests hands and handling the gold sacred vessels.

You may become an altar server when in fourth grade.  If interested in becoming a part of this important ministry please call the Director of Liturgy and Music at the parish office.
